What we put in our mouth down South. Haikus by Him.

We are about to embark on a mini whirlwind vacation to the Twin Cities and as we start our food adventure it reminded me that we have not blogged in such a long time.  I found this gem in the draft pile.  These were written by my infrequently contributing husband and I think it’s a fun read without my interpretations, but I did add some pictures.  P.s The trip was a long driving trip as usual but this time our dog joined us.

We recently went down south. The food was fair to great. Here are a few Haikus on the eating experiences there.

  1. interesting take on some familiar(to me) places–think that Jacks in Nashville is a darn- poor example of BBQ–Pretty much agree about the Loveless, bestbbq in Nashville area is in Nolenville(Martins), just south of town, If you like cajun Bro’s in Nashville is -pretty tasty and had my Steak and shake fix Monday in Clarksville(home to almost every chain in the US) and when you have ham down south usually its ‘country’ ham which is too salty for my northern tastes but if you like the Country Style check out Rices in Mt Juliet, Tn

  2. I ate at that nana and pa’s at fall creek falls best half pound real beef burger i have had in a long time and for the price $4.89 loved it will go back .and friendliest people running it.you will ever meet banana split was huge for $2.79
